How we created 4 compelling social impact videos spread across 3 states in just 7 days.
THE BRIEF
Subhash Chandra Foundation (SCF) is a non-profit organisation that provides opportunities to develop, empower and enable marginalized communities. They wanted 4 high-impact social AVs to be created in 7 days across 3 states- Haryana, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. The goal was to showcase how SCF’s support programs help the beneficiaries radically transform their lives.
OUR STRATEGY
Time was critical to the mission. We split into two teams and immediately set off to shoot. Effective social impact videos always have a strong narrative that holds them together. We wanted to drive that narrative using candid interviews of the beneficiaries and stakeholders. For that, it was important to ask the right questions. The shooting locations were in rural areas that didn’t have a constant supply of electricity. It was peak monsoon season with low daylight hours. Not only this, travelling and shooting in the Naxalite areas of Jharkhand posed their own risks. This gave us only a few hours to get the perfect shots (and we did!)
THE RESULT
Powerful films that invigorate the audiences. After wrapping up the shoots in 3 days, we spent the next 4 packaging the footage into four extraordinary videos.
Each video presented an authentic perspective on the different support programs of SCF.
