How we helped a fintech start-up gain funding of more than USD 260k using a pitch video
THE BRIEF
Diamante Blockchain is a blockchain-based SaaS platform. They were planning a crowdfunding campaign to mobilise their fintech ecosystem and needed a video to bring their investment pitch to life. The goal was to introduce the ecosystem and its capabilities and package it in a way that drives the interest of investors.
OUR STRATEGY
In order to garner engagement from potential investors, the video had to be engaging and succinct. So, we decided to use a mix of animation and live shoot. The interview byte of the founder speaking with conviction lent a touch of authenticity. First, we wrote a bang-on script that portrayed the technology company as a safer, quicker, and cheaper option out of all the other fintech start-ups and cryptocurrencies in the market. Investors possess the knowledge and resources to go deep into the type of business they want to get involved with. So, instead of avoiding jargon as we do in videos for the average viewer, we used technical terms to establish credibility. As for the treatment, since Diamante’s offering was a digital service, it was ideal to blend the talking-head format with animation. We chose isometric animation to give the video a more technologically forward feel.
THE RESULT
We created a compelling pitch video that highlighted the salient features of the entire platform. By explaining the different apps of the ecosystem in detail, the video became an exercise in both marketing and trust-building for the brand.
THE IMPACT
The video delivered true business impact by playing a key role in getting potential backers hooked. Within one month of the campaign’s launch, Diamante achieved their goal of raising USD 200k. And in the next four months, the company raised a total of USD 260k.
